NYC Cracks Down on Fakes

We've all seen fakes,from the good to the really..REALLY bad. Well it looks like we'll start to see less of these horrible knockoffs. A sting like this is sure to scare off the fake pushers that hang out downtown. Even though this is a step towards progressive we all know that they will NEVER be able to stop fake pushers. As long as there is a brand whether it be good or bad there will ALWAYS be a fake right behind it.

AF1 "Video Music Box"

In 1983, Ralph McDaniels created the Video Music Box, one of the first Television programs to broadcast hip-hop videos. Last year, Video Music Box celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a Nike Air Force 1 paying homage to VMB and McDaniels. This Air Force 1 was designed by DJ Clark Kent who again creates a versatile sneaker that consists of a black upper and metallic silver swoosh. The upper is composed of full grain and patent leather with references to Video Music Box found all throughout the sneakers including the midsole, back heel panel, on the heel and insole. The sneakers were limited to only 25 pairs when they were distributed to friends and family of “Uncle Ralph”, but you can scoop up a pair now on the ‘Bay.

Nike x 3 inches of blood "Blood Oncore High"

In what may seem like an unlikely pairing, Nike 6.0 has teamed up with Canadian heavy metal band, 3 Inches of Blood, for an intriguing new collaboration sneaker. After learning that many of their athletes were die-hard metalheads and fans of the band, Nike decided that a collaboration made sense and the result is the Blood Oncore High. The shoe was co-designed by the band themselves, choosing an interesting selection of colors and materials to represent their aggressive sound in sneaker form. Known for their wizards and warriors fantasy battle themes, the Zoom Oncore High has been built for war. The shoe features different muted shades of brown and green distressed leather for the upper with metallic silver side panels to symbolize the menacing blades of war. As a nod the band’s colorful name, various red hues provide additional accents on the tongue, midsole and laces and the 3 Inches of Blood logo is stitched into the heel. Whether you are a fan of the band or just think these kicks are fresh, you can pick up a pair at select Nike 6.o retailers beginning on May 1st.

Air Jorand IV Fusion "Do The Right Thing"

Though rumors had circulated around the Net about a potential White/Cement Air Jordan VI Retro as part of Jordan Brand's celebration of the 20th anniversary of Spike Lee's "Do the Right Thing", we can confirm that Jordan Brand IS dropping a White/Cement Air Jordan Fusion 4 as part of their Do the Right Thing Pack. The White/Cement Air Jordan Fusion 4 is inspired by the classic White/Cement Air Jordan IV that was immortalized in Do the Right Thing. The White/Cement Air Jordan 4 features a White leather upper with cement detailing at the "wings", heel tab, and midsole. The upper borrows heavily from the Air Jordan 4 including the plastic mesh and midsole/outsole is taken from the Nike Air Force 1. The lace lock also features a nod to Do the Right Thing using the colors from the movie poster.

Nike x Nylon Mag "Update"

It’s about time. After a short burst of hype, the Nylon Magazine x Nike Sportswear Dunk-Hi Pack disappeared. We saw several other nylon Dunks, but none affiliated with the publication. Now we finally know exactly what to expect and when. The pack includes five neon pairs: pink, orange, yellow, green and blue. Each features the ‘NYLON’ logo in two places: on the side panels it’s a tonal afterthought while the tongue tag features a multicoloured logo evoking each pair in the pack. These joints are set to drop Monday, June 1 at Urban Outfitters and other select Nike retailers.

Jordan IV Fusions "New sample?"

There were a lot of sights to take in at the recent Jordan Brand Classic events that were held at the Westin hotel and Madison Square Garden, but to us, the focal point has to be the crazy pair of Air Jordan Force IV’s that were spotted by Marcus Troy sitting courtside. These intriguing Fusions feature an all red upper with the classic Jordan cement speckled print on the midsole, heel tab and lacing flap. There is no official word yet if these will be released or are just a sample, but you know we’ll keep you posted. Also of note, check out some more pics of the event after the jump for a look at Jordan chocolate bars, shot glasses and headphones, as well as some of the other highlights of the night, like Spike Lee in a pair of black Air Jordan Force IX’s.

Omarion's Shoe "The Obio's

Earlier this week, Omarion leaked two photos of his brand new sneaker line on his twitter page which are going by the name, The Oboi’s. Omarion claims that the shoe line will cater to dancers like himself, and will be available in a variety of different colors for both men and women.

Nike x Nylon Mag

Back in February teaser images of the Nylon Magazine x Nike Sportwear Dunk High were posted showcasing nylon based models with the brands label on the tongue. Now we get a better look at the sneakers with a video taken at the photo shoot for the magazine and magazine scans of the shoes. The sneakers will be available in vibrant tonal uppers that includes green, yellow, blue, orange and pink. Expect the Nylon Magazine x Nike Sportswear Dunk Highs to be released on June 1st at select retailers including Urban Outfitters.

Nike x Pacquiao Trainer

As the world’s current best pound for pound boxer prepares for his next bout on May 2nd, sneaker lovers should also be preparing for the release of a special shoe between him, Manny Pacquiao, and Nike. Pacquiao a Nike sponsored athlete, collaborated with the brand on a newly designer Air Trainer 1 in a White, Varsity Red, and Gold colorway that features his logo on the heel. The Air Trainer 1 is a new Cross Training shoe designed by the legendary Tinker Hatfield. Manny and his friends and family were given 100 pairs by Nike while the other 100 in existence will be sold at Niketown San Francisco and Las Vegas, UNDFTD Las Vegas, and Fatlace (San Francisco). The shoes will be released on Saturday, May 2nd, the same day as Pacquiao’s fight with Ricky Hatton. If you are worried that you won’t be able to get a pair of these shoes, a number of different Nike x Manny Pacquiao t-shirts are available now at select retailers in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Updated info about the Space Jam Air Jordan 11 2009 release. Many of you have heard about the $175 price tag and thought it was a early April Fools joke, but MarcSJ08 wasn’t joking. It’s true, the Space Jam Air Jordan 11’s will run you $175 when they drop in December. They will also be available in infant/toddler and kids sizes, so ladies will also be able to partake in this release. Some people will still think this is a rumor and we’re not trying to change your mind. We simply want to inform our readers that it’s confirmed, the Space Jams will drop in December.

Nike Foamposite "Pearl"

The Nike Foamposite made a comeback in 2008 with several House of Hoop releases, and plenty of attention was payed to the Nike Foamposite 1 - Eggeplant. Slated to release next month at Footlocker’s House of Hoops is this pair of Nike Foamposite One, which sport a pearl white upper, black shoe lacing tabs / tongue, and blue accents. Finishing off the shoe is the translucent outsole, a feature that is certainly loved by sneaker fanatics.

3rd "Air Yeezy" Colorway

The latest colorway for the Nike Air Yeezy has surfaced in a net/net form. These Yeezy’s promise to be great especially with the net colored premium leather along with the white midsole and hot pink inner lining. Who could forget the glow in the dark sole? The shoes resemble a pair of Timberlands with its color, but with a lot more class. These kicks are set to release at select Footlocker accounts in the beginning of June, so be on the lookout for ‘em!

Adidas x Ransom Collab

Following up today’s earlier preview, we get a look at another colorway in the Originals project between Ransom and adidas. Unlike the previously seen black pair, these offer a suede finish coupled with a more colorful approach. What makes this current project even more enticing is the fact that each retailer gets to design their own model rather than a colorway in an existing adidas silhouette. G-Money is featured in SC Mag Issue 27 showing off a few kicks from his insane Air Jordan collection. The first Defining Moments Package (DMP) Air Jordan 6 sample was spotted in the SoleCollector 2009 Air Jordan Issue 27. Nike Sb Dunk High "Sample" Fall '09

Nike Skateboarding has been working hard this year trying to keep their marquee Dunks hot as they move into the Blue Box era. We have seen a number of Nike SB Dunk Highs drop lately that seem to tickle the fancy of SB heads such as the un-Heaven’s Gate a while back and yellow/black SB High that came up recently. Along with recent releases, we have gotten a fair share of what lies ahead for Nike Skateboarding including an enigmatic catalog picture of the sample shown above. Scheduled for a fall 2009, this black/sport-red looks very promising as is styled with a mixture of what looks to be black and red suede along with a translucent red out-sole. Be sure to peep the detailed photos after the jump, where you can also catch a glimpse of the Kevlar laces on these Dunk Highs. Air Trainer III

The timing is interesting. Having seen the first Air Trainer II in about eight months earlier today, Nike is dropping a new edition of the subsequent model. The Nike Air Trainer III is back in a colourway that just can’t go wrong: grey, black and red with a touch of white. These also feature an interesting geometrical pattern on the lining that peeks out just a bit around the ankle. If you like the retro high-tech look done up in a classic palette, cop these now on eBay.

Air Trainer I "Seersucker"

Reminiscent of the Nike Striped Pack, the Nike Sportswear Air Trainer 1 Premium Quickstrike features a red/white colorway in an all-over stripe pattern. The shoe resembles a striped button-up shirt with the design and the button found on the tongue strap. The white swoosh contrasts the pattern well, especially with the help of a red and white midsole and gum sole. The insole features a montage of patterns to add some flavor to the bottom of your foot. To keep it simple, “Nike” is etched in lowercase at the back heel which describes the simplicity of the shoe. These are quickstrikes so be sure to get these ASAP for about $165.

I was wondering why images of the Kiss SB Blazers never leaked, but they are part of the Nike SB 2009 Quickstrike line up so that makes sense (not really). It still seems like someone would’ve dropped news a while back about the all kiss print Blazers because it’s definitely a sneaker that will get mixed opinions.Anyways, here we have a look at all three April ‘09 Nike SB Quickstrike drops. A Black/White Dunk Low, Nitraid Dunk Mid, and the Kiss Blazer Premium will pop up at HUF and Nike SB dealers soon, if not already.

HyperMax "Pe Playoff Pack"

Nike has released an increasing volume of player exclusive (PE) edition kicks lately, and with the start of the NBA Playoffs today, their timing couldn’t be better. Having already seen limited size runs of the Carlos Boozer and Pau Gasol versions, let’s add two more to the ‘other’ playoff pack. The Nike Hypermax appears here in the two versions mentioned above, plus one each for the New Orleans Hornets’ David West and the Miami Heat’s Jermaine O’Neal. Each of the four big men finds their team colours comprising the shoe’s palette, plus a signature logo on the heel. D.West and C.Booz’s kicks come in black, while O’Neal and Gasol’s signature sneakers feature a white base. All four are set to drop at select Nike Basketball retailers soon, so stay tuned to Sneaker News for more information.

Terminator High "Swag"

We got a glimpse at these two weeks ago, and these new pictures give us a better idea of what to expect from this superstar collaboration. It’s clear from these new images that the Nike Terminator High Supreme Directed by Swagger is in fact one pair of shoes comprised of two different coloured kicks. Both rock a shiny faux-croc material, with teh left shoe in mohagany and the right in turquoise. These pics also show that the humongous lacelocks say ‘SWG’, as opposed to our first impression that suggested ‘SWAG’. We can see these becoming the next big collaboration to fill the vacuum the Nike Air Yeezy will leave after the various releases conclude, so you can count on Sneaker News to bring you new pics and information as soon as we know more.

New Air Yeezy CW "Sample"

As if the opening of Nike’s new TPE 6453 boutique in Taipei wasn’t excitement enough, among the countless points of interest was a brand new Air Yeezy colorway. With the recent drop of everyone’s new favorite Nike model, there seems to be an extra element of buzz surrounding the Air Yeezy’s right now and what better way to add to the madness than to display a new version that most people haven’t seen yet. The latest Air Yeezy to be displayed features a black upper with grey accents on the toe and eyelets and a patent leather strap. Add to that an extra-vibrant Fire Red midsole and the glow-in-the-dark Air Yeezy outsole and you’ve got another sure-fire hit in the making. There is no word yet on when this colorway will be available for retail, but the two other Yeezy models that were on display will ease your anticipation in the meantime. We’ll keep you posted on more from the ongoing Air Yeezy saga as new information becomes available.

Air Jordan 60+ "Grapes"

All it took was this… The Air Jordan 60+ has recently been under attack by the online sneaker community, until now. This grape colorway was pictured for the first time by the homies Dee&Ricky. Now does the roar from the crowd come or are you still unsure how the newest hybrid will be when it hits the shelves. Fusion 4 "Military"

Next up in the Air Jordan Fusion Line which meshes a numbered Air Jordan model with an Air Force One (1) is the Air Jordan Fusion IV (4). Up to now, we have not seen too many detailed pictures of the sneaker, and some key changes have definitely been made since we originally previewed the sneaker earlier in the year. As most sneakerheads can tell by first glance, this AJF4 is inspired by the “Military Blue” Air Jordan IV (4). Featuring a white upper with neutral grey accents and a military blue Air Force 1 sole, this pair is extremely similar to the Air Jordan 4 that released in 2006. The Air Jordan Fusion IV (4) series is set to debut in the coming months, so be sure to stay tuned for updates.

Nike 2009 Releases

Last month sample pictures from 2009 Nike releases were photographed showcasing a few interesting styles, but a more extensive look at what’s to come this year and part of the following year can be seen here. Featured in the first photo is the Air Max 1 composed of black and white and is made up of suede and mesh. The Barkley vs. Godzilla Blazer Pack is the second photo from the shoot and previews two upcoming Blazer Mids. The Blazer pack will be accompanied by the release of the a metallic silver and white Blazer Mid. After these first few photos, group pictures display numerous of future releases including an assortment the Dunk High and Low, Blazer, Air Force 1, Court Force, Air Structure and much more.

Nike ID "stab" UPDATE

A few weeks back, we brought you the good news that the Nike Air Stab would be the latest style to become available on Nike iD and it seems that with each new Nike iD release, the customizable options become more and more limitless. You may have already had some time to play around on the Nike iD site, but now the Air Stab has just hit the Nike Sportswear 21 Mercer iD Studio and as expected, there will be some new design options available when you create your kicks in the store, such as denim, mesh, distressed leather, patent and lace. Additional new colors, patterns, materials and graphics will be available when you make an appointment to get busy on your own pair. Nike "Bespoke" Customs

These are two pairs of "Bespoke" customs. If your not familiar with the Bespoke program, it’s a service that you can create your own custom for $820 dollars with Nike. The first pair ( Top ) has stitching based off of the "Kaws" AF1 we saw awhile back. It also features a yellow 3M upper, Thanks to Brandon Fant for designing those bad boys for all us to enjoy. Drew V put together the second pair ( bottom )this “Un-Amsterdam” Air Force 1 inspired by the Parra-designed Air Max 1 as the colorway lives to see another day. Some nice subtle and interesting detail includes the selvedge line along the back heel and the denim heel tab.

Adidas hits the big "60"

New stuff for Nike ID

While the iD buzz right now surrounds the Nike Hypderdunk, that’s not the only thing new over at Nike iD. As a matter of fact, two very popular styles have been added to the Nike Sportswear section on the site. Those two shoes are the Nike Vandal Low and the Nike Air Stab.Both the Vandal and the Air Stab are perfect choices with the popularity for both being pretty high. With the Vandal Low, there are plenty of different colors as well as materials to choose from such as satin and smooth full grain leather. After pics of the [Red Raging Bull Air Jordan Retro V] surfaced on the Net, it was only a matter of time before pics of it's packaged counterpart surfaced as well. Packaged alongside the Red V will be a Black Reflective Air Jordan Retro V. The Black Reflective Air Jordan Retro V features a Black upper that reflects with the light, a Black/White/Red midsole, clear outsole, Red accents, and the embroidered 23 on the side.

"Commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Spike Lee film’s theatrical release, the Air Jordan 1 Do the Right Thing Pack is set to drop in July. Here we get a closer look at the metallic red version. Laid atop white pebbled leather, we see that the red patent leather is slightly pearlized, lending it an extra sparkle. Also detailed in the pictures included after the jump is the lining, which features a jagged pattern mixing red, yellow, blue, black and white to fully capture that late 80’s aesthetic. With nearly four months left before the official release."

Nike Sportwear is dropping three different shoes, Air Max 1, Air Footscape TZ, and the woman’s Air Pocketknife, this weekend at UNDFTD as well as several of the Nike Sportwear authorized resellers.

Two of these releases were featured on Sneakerfiles.com before, the Air Max 1 in the light blue and the Air Footscape TZ in black. The new one is the woman’s Air Pocketknife in pink. All have white stripes throughout giving them that linen look. "Playstations" Are Back!

The ICON is back! One of the most sought after Air Force Ones ever created is back to celebrate the 10th birthday of the PlayStation 2. Itself a pop culture icon, with more than 140 million units sold around the world, the PlayStation 2 turned 10 this month.

This time around, the team over at PlayStation asked Nike if they could do a small run to coincide with the 10th Anniversary of PlayStation 2’s launch in Japan. As you can see, they didn’t just simply rerun the shoes, but updated them slightly. The 10th Anniversary shoe features a full patent leather upper - yep they got that gradient on patent! - which was something previously thought to be too difficult to execute. It also has a standard AF1 liner and they are not numbered. Less than 50 pairs were created this time around and will be given to media, Sony execs and other VIPs. However, as the folks at PlayStation have done each time in the past, they will be making pairs of shoes available for charity and we have the 1st pair right here!

"Cindo De Mayo" Jordan 1 pack

Jordan Brand is tapping into the “Cinco De Mayo” colorway in 2009 with two Air Jordan 1’s. Cinco De Mayo which is Spanish for 5th of May. Both Air Jordan 1’s pay homage to Cinco De Mayo in which 4,000 Mexican soldiers smashed the French and traitor Mexican army of 8,000 at Puebla, Mexico, 100 miles east of Mexico City on the morning of May 5, 1862.

The Cinco De Mayo Air Jordan 1’s will hit Jordan Brand accounts in May (of course). They will be available on May 2nd for $100.

"Raging Bull Pack" A.K.A. DMP 2

Later this year, Jordan Brand is set to release a double pack of Air Jordan Retro V sneakers nicknamed the "Raging Bull" Pack. The "Raging Bull" Pack will features a Red nubuck Air Jordan V and a Smoked Grey Air Jordan V that features an upper material similar to the Olive Air Jordan Retro V. A full picture has yet to hit the Net and full details are still being working out, but, this small preview recently surfaced on the Net.
Though it doesn't show much, it is a nice hint.

"Big Homie" NYC Blazers

Who do they call Big Homie? Looks as if Nike is paying homage to the Big Homie “Jay-Z” with this Blazer High. Without a doubt, these Blazers pay tribute to both Hova and NYC. The colorway was inspired by the New York Yankees and features pinstripes along the eyelets panel. NYC embroidery is also seen along the upper and to top things off, the Blazers come with a 3M reflective swoosh/heel tab, and Big Homie NYC on the tongue.

Don’t be surprised if you see candid photos of Jay Z rocking these Blazers soon. No word on when the Big Homie Blazers will drop. When we know more, you’ll know more.

Nike ID Hyperdunk release.

Nike ID will be releasing a new model for your creative minds to wrap around, the Hyperdunk. They will be available on March 17th. There will actually be 2 models to design, a clear outer or a solid outer. The clear will run you about $150, while the solid will run you $140. Right now you can design your own, but these will not be available to actually purchase until March 17th.

This AJ 5 sample features a white patent leather upper, with brown/gold accents. The sole looks as if half of it has been pre-yellowed. Not a good look. Overall they look clean. Not too bright of a colorway. More info on the release later.

Nike SB Mid Premium, TV.

The TV SB Mid premium is no where near the looks of a TV. But the insoles is what sets these Mid's off. The insole has an television pixel print on them. The Cappuccino/Silver colorway make these almost look like an Grip tape Mid remake. These even have a grip tape like material on the toe box and side. The TV Mid has dropped overseas, but there is no actual release date on these in the US.

Ever since people have been wondering and wondering on when the release date was and for more info on the Air Yeezy. Well, now we have a solid colorway that will be releasing. No release date though. Three colorways will be releasing, a grey, black, and beige colorway. Word is that these will be limited in the United States. Retail hits a solid $200. More info will be provided when more info surfaces. IMO, I'm really not feeling them at all. They look like a mash up of Jordans. Another Fusion from Nike.

Spike Lee’s film Do The Right Thing celebrates 20 years in 2009. Jordan Brand and Spike have had a close relationship since the late 80’s, so JB is showing Mars Blackmon love once again. No Spiz’ike love, but instead they created the DTRT Metallic Air Jordan 1 High’s.

We broke the news first about the DTRT Air Jordan 1’s last year, and thanks to MarcSJ08 we have images of both sneakers plus the “No You The Man” tee. Word is the DTRT Jordan 1’s will be available in July for $105 or $110.

Nike SB isn’t the only brand to look to Dutch painter Piet Mondrian to inspire new designs, Vans has also taken note of Mondrian’s style and utilizes it toward the latest Vans Authentic pack. The abstract painter work appears in the form of three different Authentics, with one them composed of red/white/blue/yellow, a combination mirroring the Nike SB Dunk Low “Piet Mondrian”. The other models will be seen in the pack that is a less colorful and more toned down. Now available at select Vans retailers and Flauge.

Air Jordan I Low Phat - Cement Print

The newest installment of Air Jordan 1 Low Phats will feature one of the defining aspects of Air Jordan sneakers—cement print. Releasing in a black and a white colorway, these two pairs of the AJ1 Low Phat both yield fairly simple uppers accented by cement print on the toecap and on the heel. Though cement print originally made its appearance on the Air Jordan III (3), it has become much more popular over the years and is now an integral part of numerous sneakers. Aside from the cement print, the white pair (seen after the ‘jump’) has a black outsole and red accents while the black pair includes a grey tongue, red accents, and a grey inner lining. Both pairs of the Air Jordan I (1) Low Phat are set to drop on February 28, 2009 for a retail price of $95.

Last week, we showed you an average St. Patrick’s Day inspired Reebok Sir Jam, and those who commented were not feeling them. However, check out Vans’s try at creating a St.Patrick’s Day sneaker.

Vans used one of its most recognized models, the Authentic, for this inspiration. Obviously, what is a St. Patrick’s Day sneaker without a touch of green? This Authentic contain a solid green toe box with a white base seen throughout the rest of the upper. However, the most interesting feature is the skull four-leaf clovers seen on the white base. Nate Robinson "Krypto-Nate" took down, or rather jumped over Dwight Howard aka "Superman" to win the 2009 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Take a look at the super hero defeating kicks, the Nike Foamposite Lite Krypto-Nate.

The original Foamposite was introduced in the late 90s. This classic has been updated and remains in line with Nike basketball’s drive for superior, lightweight innovation. The Nike Air 1/2 Cent, one of the most anticipated sneakers this year, is set to drop on March 7th, 2009. However, some pairs have shown up early at various places such as Sneaker Bistro.

The instant classic sneaker will retail for $190, yet you should expect to pay a heftier price when getting them early. Nike Dunk SB "Send-Help" Mid

It features a 100% ice green upper with black accents on the inner lining, swoosh and outsole. The letters, SB also appear in black on the ankle strap.
